In-House Training

In-House Training

MJMEnergy has earned a good reputation as a provider of excellent courses for all levels of experience. In addition to our popular and well known public courses, we run many in-house training courses for energy companies and other companies with an interest in energy. From introductory seminars to the UK and world energy markets, to more advanced, specific material covering for example, transportation and storage, trading, market instruments and economic modelling, contractual and regulatory issues.

In-house training offers the benefit of developing bespoke courses covering specific aspects according to customer preference and also of economy when presenting to several delegates at one time.

Over the last few years we have seen a significant growth in the number of specifically tailored 'in-house' energy training courses that we have provided.
There are a number of reasons for this:

  1. With our highly experienced trainers we are able to specifically tailor training courses to meet the individual needs of the client, Case Study 1:
MJMEnergy develop specialised energy training courses.

Client-A, having examined a variety of competitors training courses, requested us to produce a highly specialised training course at a competitive price, to an ambitious timetable. Not only did we deliver the course on time and within budget, but we were also able to adapt and amend the course to meet the customers specific requirements each time it was presented over an 18 month period.

  2. With Training budgets often being the first to be cut, 'in-house' training can provide excellent value. Case Study 2:
    MJMEnergy 'in-house' training saves money

Client-B, had a requirement to train around one hundred members of staff as part of an ongoing professional development programme. Following discussions with our trainers a specially tailored training programme was developed not only saving the client thousands of pounds in training fees but also in travelling and hotel bills as our trainers delivered the training on site at the clients offices.

  3. MJMEnergy only commissions the most up-to-date and experienced energy professionals, all of whom are operating as consultants in the energy industry worldwide.
  4. In-House Training

Courses are often developed through a series to offer a finely-tuned programme fully meeting the customer's requirement.

Trading games, case studies and economic modelling exercises are a practical means to consolidate concepts learnt in the lecture room.

Price guide:

Typical costs for in-house training are based on the presentation of an existing course for one-day at £2000 plus £160 per delegate, beginning to make a saving on our public courses at six delegates or more. In-house training offers the additional benefit of economies on travel costs.

Bespoke courses are designed to an agreed budget according to development time and the number of times the course will be presented.

Price Guide:

High quality support materials are provided as standard.

Interactive games:

Interactive games and case studies developed by MJMEnergy and our associates are a great way to experience the practical application of learnt concepts. Gas and power trading games, the emissions trading game and economic modelling case studies already exist and innovations for specific presentations are normally in the process of development. The format for trading games may be screen-based, by telephone, sealed bid or open outcry according to availability of equipment and customer choice.

These activities are popular in many environments from lecture room to team-building away-days. Please contact us for further information on how we may present team games in your company.
