review: Buying
Industrial & Commercial Gas
The Buying I&C
gas is run jointly by the Energy Training Network and

, represented by lecturers Nick White and Rowland Sheard. Rowland has many
years experience, initially in marketing gas to industrial customers, more
recently in assisting customers in buying gas, both for power generation
and industrial use. Nick is an expert on the
UK
gas market structure. Together the course paints a picture of the complex
issues surrounding the UK gas market today, and helps participants to
understand the opportunities to out there for better gas purchasing. In
the context of the current gas price enquiry and ongoing market concerns,
the course is very timely.
On the 3rd
March ETN is running this course in association with the Chemical
Industries Association at their building in
Smith Square
,
London
. Reduced fees are available for CIA members, but non-members are also
very welcome. This one-day course will equip buyers, negotiators, users
and those representing the customer, with an up-to-date understanding of
today’s gas market to help optimise their strategy. From the broader
perspectives of contract structures and the future of gas purchasing to
the specifics of understanding the effect of the spot market and tendering
and supplier selection, the course will complement the understanding of
those already working within the arena and provide an excellent foundation
for those needing a full understanding of gas purchasing for commercial
