The recession and the resulting demand on energy A Pleasant Surprise! When filling the car up with fuel recently, I reflected upon how refreshing it was that I was once again handing over my card to pay a bill of £40, as opposed to handing it over in July last year, when my bill for filling the tank came close to £60. The child in me encouraged me to be reckless; thinking through all the possible purchases I could now make with the money I was saving when filling up with petrol! Motorists have been the beneficiaries of the impact the recession is having on plummeting global oil demand and the resulting price crashes. This price crash has been driven by the drop in demand for oil, resulting in an excess of oil and an emerging buyers’ market. To consider the extent of the impact the recession has had on energy demand in general, it’s important to take a long perspective:- this is forecast to be the furthest reaching recession for many years, so it’s important to look wider to gauge the impact of economic slowdown. Below you will find the list of training dates for courses in early 2009. They will be held at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. For more information click the course title.
