During 2009 to 2011 MJMEnergy provided a three-day training course for Centrica’s senior managers. The course consists of two main parts a gas purchase/sales negotiation exercise and a gas market simulation. In the negotiation exercise delegates negotiate a gas sales agreement in teams. In the gas market simulation the same teams are competing for gas market share in a fictitious gas market, and need to establish a gas purchasing, sales and marketing strategy
For 11 years MJM have presented a one-day gas & power overview for Centrica on a monthly basis at various locations around the country. The course looks at both the physical and commercial aspects of gas and electricity and provides an introduction to the key issues facing Centrica’s energy business. Nick designed the original course and is course director and one of two main facilitators on the course.
